At Wavora, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we protect it and what your rights are. It is written in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

We only collect the information needed for these purposes, and we never sell your information.

4. Your consent

By sending us your information, you consent to its use for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge, subject to our legal obligations.

5. Sharing with third parties

We may entrust some information to providers who help us run our business, and only as far as necessary: booking tool (Calendly, a company based in the United States), website hosting (Cloudflare, a company based in the United States), email (Gmail, by Google, a company based in the United States). These providers must protect your information. Some may store it outside Québec; before doing so, we assess, as the law requires, that the protection offered is adequate.

6. Retention and destruction

We keep your information as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as long as the law requires, then destroy or anonymise it securely. In practice: the information from a booking that does not lead to an engagement, at most two years after our last exchange; our clients’ files, as long as tax and accounting laws require, generally six years after the end of the tax year they relate to.

7. Security and incidents

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: access limited to those who need it, secure tools, strong passwords. We keep a register of confidentiality incidents and, if an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned.

To exercise these rights, write to the person in charge; we will answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may turn to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
